Juan Carlos Tellez is Associate Professor of Intercultural Studies at the University of Northwestern - St. Paul. Carlos planted and let a multi-ethnic house-church in northeast Atlanta prior to coming to Northwestern. He has lived half of his life in Latin America and half in the US. He is married to Emily, and together they have four kidsL Sara, Lucas, Julian and Mateo. They also have a dog named Jazz. Carlos enjoys anything related to futbol (watching, playing and coaching), and he is a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He also enjoys reading, drinking coffee with friends, and just hanging out with his family.
