KIDS
Kids Ministry focuses on partnering with our families in guiding kids to be followers of Jesus. We create a high-energy environment where kids have fun learning the foundation of faith: God created them, God loves them, and God is always with them.
Sundays 10:00 am
Birth - Grade 5
Wee Ones/Preschool
Drop off your kids before service for lessons designed for their specific age. Babies will listen to songs and stories to hear the name Jesus. Your toddlers and preschoolers will enjoy story time, singing, games, and much more led by our volunteers that have a passion for teaching young kids about Jesus.
Elementary
Check in your kids and head into the Worship Center for family worship. Kids will then be dismissed to Adventure Zone for a high energy large group time and reflective small group lessons. The activities and small group discussions are specifically designed for each age group: younger elementary and preteen.
Wednesday 6:30-8:00pm
Families with kids in Pre-k to Grade 5
"Teach a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not turn from it" Proverbs 22:6
True North is designed to support our families in leading their kids well in their faith journeys. We start as a Large group with a 20 minute message that includes a family devotional time. Kids then will continue their program with games and small group time.
Parent Connection Group
After the Large group time, parents and grandparents have an option to join this small group. It is a time to connect with other parents and dig deeper into the Word as we navigate how to make disciples of our children/grandchildren.
Breaking Down Barriers
Assisting ALL kids in knowing Jesus
We believe that all kids can and should learn about Jesus and the love He has for us. Our Jericho team is highly trained to help kids that need assistance during programming. This is an inclusion program that allows kids to learn with a Jericho buddy and/or activity adaptations. Please contact Laura Neubauer for more information (laura.neubauer@woodcrestchurch.org).

FAQ
Have questions? We have the answers!
Plan to arrive 15 minutes before the worship service so we can help you become familiar with our check-in process. We can also intoduce you to your kid's leaders and get familier with their enviornment.
Kids are given a nametag to wear with a unique security code for the day. Parents/guardians are given a tag with the corresponding security code. All parents/guardians will need this tag to pick up their kids at the end of service.
Family Room (coming soon)
This room will be provided for families who wish to watch the service while caring for an "active" child.
Mothers' Room
Attached to the womans restroom, is a room that allows mothers to nurse their infants while listening to the service.
COMING SOON - New Mothers' room in the nursery. This will be a comfortable room for mothers to nurse as they watch the service.
Activity Bags
Activity bags are available for kids who attend the entire worship service. Our staff and volunteers will help you locate them near the GATHER Counter.
In order to limit the spread of illnesses, please refrain from bringing your child if he/she has had any of the following symptoms within the past 24 hours: diarrhea, vomiting, 100+ fever, non-clear runny nose, or has been on antibiotics for less than 24 hours.
Volunteers are trained to create an atmosphere where families can confidently leave their children while they are in service. Every volunteer is screened with a background check and the kids hallway is monitored by safety personnel.
The first Sunday of month we have family communion. At Woodcrest, we invite anyone who wants to remember Jesus Christ and celebrate with us by recieving communion.
Kids safely return to their families at the end of the message. During communion, parents have an opportunity to talk with their kids and take communion together. As parents, you know your kids better than we do to determine the readiness of taking communion. There is value in kids observing and praying with their parents if you feel they are not ready to participate. For more guidance in this desicion, Family Communion Guides are available at the check-in areas on these Sundays.
