Misty Harper-Anderson serves as the Worship Director at Woodcrest Church. She and her husband, Bill, have three children. They are navigating the next phase of life as their children grow into adulthood and begin to leave the nest.
In 2015, Misty finally decided that ministry was what she wanted to be when she grows up and a year and a half later, completed a Christian Studies degree at Grand Canyon University. This led her to their seminary and a Master of Divinity program. In this process, she has learned that she loves teaching the Word of God as much as she loves leading the people of God in worship.
It is her heart's desire to see the generational gap bridged through this conference. Through personal life experiences, she will share how she has found joy in the middle of trying circumstances with her eyes focused on Christ.
Kaycee Stanely is the Director and Founder of The Reel Hope Project. She and her husband, Pete, love three things: Jesus, kids and stories. (Also, each other. Obviously.) For a long time, they have dreamed about how to change the narrative around adopting from foster care, especially within faith communities. In the spring of 2016, they were inspired by a ministry called America's Kids Belong, and they started dreaming about a ministry that told the stories of kids in Minnesota who need families. Five months later, Reel Hope was born.
Traveling, friends, baking & the Bible are some of the biggest stealers of Sydney’s time. After getting her college degree in 2017 she took all her knowledge to use and started working as a paralegal in downtown Minneapolis. Passion to help others and put all the pieces of the puzzle together are things that motivated her to purse a legal career. Not only does she find great joy in her legal work, but she also enjoys baking. So much so that she founded The Spatula Bakery in July of 2018!
After experiencing a lot of change in the past year, Sydney found that community was an extremely important piece of her life. Though she is a socially awkward former homeschooler, you’ll often find her talking (very loudly) with the amazing high school & middle school ladies she mentors or embarrassing her family in the eye of the public by doing her signature dance- the chicken dance. Life is busy, but it’s also too short, so she wouldn’t have it any other way!
Kristin Hogan Mathees is the founder and owner of The Seven Lifestyle. She loves all things sports, nutrition and fitness. This year, she and her husband, Brandon, added a new role to their lives: parents. They welcomed their little girl into their family and their lives are forever tranformed.
Kristin is a returning speaker to the Reflections Conference and looks forward to sharing how her life has changed over the past year. She is learning to balance motherhood with entrepeneurial spirit.
