Missions

We believe God is calling Woodcrest to take the message of Jesus Christ to those who have not heard. As a result, mission resources will support three Kingdom Initiatives that give us opportunity to invest in God's work in local, national, and international contexts.

The Woodcrest Missions Team meets the third Monday of each month at 6:00 pm in the Conference Room. Join us!

Initiative #1

We believe God is calling Woodcrest to faithfully continue supporting our existing mission partnerships around the world. Click here for more information on our specific partnerships.

Initiative #2

We believe God is calling Woodcrest to strengthen the partnership with our sister church in Laplyava, Ukraine by helping them strategicallydevelop a greater vision for reaching their community for Christ. This initiative includes current commitments to existing church operations and the costs of running summer camps (lead by the Woodcrest Ukraome Mission Team).

Initiative #3

We believe God is calling Woodcrest to encourage, promote and assist with financial support for short-term mission experiences for both individuals and teams of people from Woodcrest. Hands-on ministry opportunities in cross-cultural contexts not only bring glory to God, but also provide a wonderful opportunity for people to grow in their personal faith journey. Faith Promise Giving

Mission endeavors at Woodcrest Church are supported through the generous contributions of the Woodcrest family and other interested parties. The Woodcrest Mission Fund is a separate entity distinct from the Woodcrest General Fund and Building Fund.

Each fall and throughout the year, we ask the Woodcrest family to consider their financial investment in Woodcrest's Kingdom Initiatives through the use of Faith Promise pledges. Through this process, families and individuals make a “pledge” or “promise” of what they will commit financially to Woodcrest missions in the coming year. Yearly missions budgets and initiatives are determined by what is pledged each year.

We are asking each family at Woodcrest to prayerfully consider a Faith Promise pledge dollar amount for missions. We ask that this pledge be above and beyond your regular financial commitment to the General Fund of Woodcrest.

Woodcrest Mission Team

A committed group of individuals passionate about missions, the Woodcrest Mission Team, meets regularly (usually the 3rd Monday of each month) to pray and to oversee the Woodcrest mission ministry.
