What To Expect

Whether you've visited several times, or are just thinking about coming to Woodcrest Church, we're glad to have you join us. We've outlined some of the things you will do when you visit, so you know what to expect.

Before the Service

Choose A Service Time
Woodcrest offers two worship service times – 9:15 am & 10:45 am. Both services are similar in style and content.

Find The Church
Woodcrest is located on the northeast corner of Cliff Road and Highway 3 (South Robert Trail) in Eagan.

Check In Your Children
Our kids program is offered during both services and is the perfect place for children from birth-grade 5. The staff and volunteers create a safe, fun atmosphere in which children can learn Bible stories and participate in age-appropriate worship. Parents check-in children to a classroom: Nursery (birth - 17 months); Toddlers (18 - 35 months); Lil' Ventures (3 years to Kindergarten); Kid-Venture (1st - 3rd grade); and Club 45 (4th & 5th grade.) Parents who check infants/toddlers into the Nursery/Toddler Rooms receive a pager for ease of access in case of need.

Student Programming
Students 6th grade and above have their own programming during the second service.  S.M.A.C.K. talk (Students Molded After Christ the King) is for middle schoolers and Fusion is for high schoolers. The students have the whole lower level of the Generations Wing.

Get Settled
At Woodcrest Church, you will notice a casual atmosphere and people of all ages and walks of life. An usher will give you a program, which includes church announcements and a note-taking sheet for the message. An usher can direct you to seats in the Worship Center – or you may sit wherever you are most comfortable.

During the Service

Worship
This time is set aside for communicating with God from our hearts. Our worship team will lead us in upbeat, contemporary songs of celebration, as well as more intimate songs of worship. Many of the songs may be familiar to you if you listen to the radio stations KTIS (98.5 FM) or Spirit FM (95.9 or 107.5 FM). Everyone worships in his or her own unique way – for many, that means singing and clapping along, and for others it means quietly reflecting on the words. You are welcome to do whatever makes you feel most comfortable.

Offering
Each week Woodcrest's members and regular attenders make an offering. As a guest, there is no need for you to give. This is an act of worship for our regulars, allowing them to thank God for all of the great work he is doing in their lives. It also gives Woodcrest the means to reach more people for Christ in the future.

Message
Every Sunday, our pastors give a relevant, straightforward message that is based on Scripture and is designed to be helpful in your everyday life. Past messages are available on this website. These messages will help you develop a growing, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and apply Biblical teaching to your own life.

Communion
Usually, we celebrate communion together on the first Sunday of the month. Anyone can participate in this time of reflection and prayer – as long as they have made the decision to follow Jesus Christ. The juice and bread that we share represent the life he gave up so that our sins could be forgiven. Parents are encouraged to make certain their children are indeed ready to partake of communion and to assist them during the ceremony.

Kids Programming
While adults are in the Worship Center, their kids are listening to their own dynamic interactive message, learning principles that can be lived out all week long. Children are divided into classrooms with age-appropriate teachings and activities, discussing topics that will help them build a solid foundation and a strong relationship with God.

After the Service

Pick Up Your Kids
If you check a child into kids programming, you will need to personally pick up any of your children that are third grade and younger.

Enjoy A Snack And Fellowship
If you'd like a snack between the services, or want to sit and chat with friends or family, treats and coffee are available in the Woodcrest Cafe with tables to sit at. It is a great place to relax, discuss the day's message, or connect with other attenders.

Stop By The Welcome Center
If you'd like more information about Woodcrest visit our Welcome Center. It's located just outside the Worship Center. You'll meet a friendly individual, get your questions answered, and receive materials to get you started at Woodcrest.
